As we continue our phased recovery out of lockdown, from Monday, 17 May we’ll reintroduce our quick choice browsing service and public computer access:
Quick Choice allows library members to come in to our libraries and choose books from a selection of our stock. Sessions are limited to 30 minutes and you won’t need to pre-book. Sessions are self-service so you’ll need your library card and know your PIN. If you joined online since March 2020 and would like to use Quick Choice, please contact the library in advance so we can have your physical card ready for you to collect.
Computer sessions will be available at all five core libraries and must be booked in advance. You can book a computer for a 45-minute slot. Please be aware there is no printing, Wi-Fi printing or scanning available at this time. There will be no toilet facilities available. Book your slot in advance by phoning the library you wish to visit during that library’s opening hours:
- Central Library – 01793 463238
- North Swindon Library – 01793 707120
- Highworth Library – 01793 463500
- Park Library – 01793 463501
- West Swindon Library – 01793 465555
You’ll still be able to click, call and collect, reserve and return books across all five core libraries. Visit the SBC website for opening hours. The library shop continues its shop, select and collect service and our Local Studies Team is available for email enquiries. Please check the individual websites for any changes at community libraries. Throughout this time you can continue to use our eBook and other eResources and our YouTube channel.
We’ll still have COVID-19 measure in place at libraries including masks, hand sanitiser, one-way systems, and social distancing.
