Sheila Passmore will be giving an illustrated talk, ‘The Story of Chiseldon’s Washpool’ on Wednesday 1st May at 7.30pm in the Church Hall; admission £3 with the proceeds going to the Washpool Area Restoration Project (WARP) and Chiseldon Local History Group.
The Washpool stream was very much at the centre of village life over the centuries, with several cottages and a mill located along its length. This talk charts the changes and events in the life of the village and the stream as well as looking at the work of WARP today.
