Special Swindon175 Evening Performance
Join us as we celebrate 175 years of Swindon becoming a railway town with the highly acclaimed Swindon Symphony Orchestra!
STEAM’s spacious Great Western Hall provides the perfect setting for this special Swindon175 performance.
Enjoy a concert of lighter orchestral music to celebrate Swindon175. All musical items have a link with Swindon – so see if you can work out the Swindon connections of Star Wars, Harry Potter, Rachmaninoff 2nd piano concerto and others!
Swindon Symphony Orchestra is delighted to present Daniel Lebhardt as the soloist for the concert. The Hungarian pianist has impressed audiences and critics alike with his thoughtful interpretations and outstanding virtuosity.
Mr Lebhardt won First Prize at the 2014 Young Concert Artists Auditions in Paris and then won YCA’s International Auditions in New York where he was also awarded the Paul A. Fish Memorial Prize and four concert prizes.
