We want to help residents understand more about how we’re working for Swindon and using their council tax to provide hundreds of services, many of which they may not use themselves.
Many of our residents don’t know a lot about what goes on behind the scenes of a local authority to provide the hundreds of services that we do, all year round. Our annual council tax booklet aims to bridge that gap and show residents the reality of where our budget goes and why.
Over the next few weeks, we’ll be sharing real stories from residents and our employees on our social media pages to help show residents how we’re working for Swindon. Please look out for the council tax booklet when it gets delivered on your doorstep and for the stories on our social media channels and encourage people in your ward to do the same.
