Public Campaign for A346/New Road traffic lights

The Parish Council have been trying for some time now to request traffic lights on this junction, to make the area safer.

We’ve not been able to make traction on this, so we want to enlist our residents to join our campaign.

We’ve seen the impact of people power before in Chiseldon Parish so can we ask you once again to help out….

Can you please email our Ward Cllr Jenny Jefferies jjefferies@swindon.gov.uk with your views on this junction and whether traffic lights would make it safer?

Our hope is that the volume of messages Jenny receives will mean Swindon Borough Council Highways Dept are forced to consider this request in more detail.

Can I request that messages are from your own experiences, as a generic message copied and pasted won’t have the same impact – even though the intentions are good.

With thanks, from the Parish Council Planning, Highways and Transport Committee.
