Neighbourhood Plan Meeting 13th Dec 2021
Our meeting at the Chiseldon House Hotel was well attended and our presenter Andrea Pellegram provided us with a lot of information, and also answered a lot of resident’s Q&A’s.
The presentation, accompanying note and video recording are all on our website at Neighbourhood Plan – Chiseldon Parish Council (chiseldon-pc.gov.uk)
We had some resident’s come forward to be part of the Steering group but we still need more people to help us – this is your plan and not ours. Please let the Clerk know using the details above if you can help to shape the plan. Thank you.

After our raffle which was drawn on the 23rd December we are proud to announce that £169.30 was raised for the Brighter Futures Dementia Appeal. Thank you to everyone who provided a prize for the event and supported us.
Covid LFT tests
We do receive a supply of Covid tests but they are going quick each time. They will be outside of the office on Butts Road for collection when we have any. If you have access to Facebook its always worth asking before you make a journey to see if anyone can provide an update. We have been told that Meadow Stores on New Road often has a supply as well. You can also order tests online.
New Speed Indicator signs (SID’s) planned for Badbury
By the time of going to press we hope to have canvassed Badbury for any comments prior to us sighting 2 new SID’s. The SID’s have been purchased and SBC have approved the locations so providing we don’t encounter any major setbacks we are ready to get the signs installed at either end of the Hamlet. The current SID on Hodson Road is performing well and has resident’s support.

Defibrillators – a reminder
A reminder that the Parish has 4 defibrillators – one outside Cameo Hairdressers on High Street, one outside the Pavilion on the Recreation Field, one outside the Calley Memorial Hall on Draycott Road and one in the BT Box in Badbury. All units are accessed by calling 999 to gain the code for the box. You cannot use these defibrillators on someone who doesn’t need it as the machine will not work. It also provides audible instructions on how to use them.
There is also a defibrillator on the outside wall of the school in Ogbourne St George.

Next Parish council meeting
