Swindon’s Citizen Advice needs new volunteers

Borough Councillors’ Surgery

Please note that the next Borough Councillors’ Surgery will take place on the 2nd April, between 11.30am and 12.30pm in the Old Chapel, Butts Road. The Surgery is your chance to raise issues and concerns with representatives of both Swindon Borough Council and Chiseldon Parish Council.

Transport report for April

There has been an overwhelming response to Wiltshire Council’s review of subsidised bus services, with over 10,000 questionnaires returned so far. Reporting crime

Our local Police Constable, Rory Draper, has asked the Council to make people aware of a recent spate of anti social behaviour in the village, including vandalism and some unpleasant incidents. Notice of Traffic Calming Scheme in New Road

Change of start time for March meeting

Thamesdown Bus Company is in the process of spending £1.4million on 10 new single-decker buses for Swindon. This shows the price of vehicles these days, with the new double-deckers on the X5 route are costing £230,000. Swindon Borough Council is currently conducting a ‘Community Governance Review’. The Review will consider Parish boundaries and could impact Chiseldon Parish’s relationship with surrounding villages and settlements.
