It may be September but the warmer temperatures are set to continue into the weekend.
With this in mind, we’d like to remind you all to be mindful of your home security.
An open window is an invite to burglars. Don’t give them an easy way in to your home – please ensure windows and doors are locked when you are not home and do not leave accessible windows open in unoccupied rooms, no matter what the temperature is.
Please also take keys out of locks and ensure valuables are left out of sight – it has been known for burglars to use hooks to pick up items through letterboxes, windows and cat flaps.
To report a burglary call 101 – if a burglary is in action, call 999.
