Junction 16
As the temperatures have picked up, the overnight surfacing work has started and the night closures are in place. As the work is weather dependent, please make sure you follow our social media channels to see if works are postponed.
Throughout the day there is a team on site installing sign bases and lamp columns. Ducting is being installed across the roundabout which will be used for street lighting and traffic light cables. Siemens has started to install the new traffic light heads, which will be operational from mid April when the loops and cabling for the new traffic light system are completed. The team are also preparing the traffic islands for surfacing and are filling the base of the islands with stone, to allow the tarmac to be laid on top. This week the team have completed the majority of the kerbs, and finished all the drainage work.
Closures taking place
Overnight resurfacing of the roundabout inclusive 8pm to 6am:
- Wednesday, 21st March
- Thursday, 29th March
- Tuesday, 3rd April
- Wednesday, 4th April
- Friday, 6th April
Full Closure of A3102 inclusive 8pm to 6am:
- Saturday, 7th April
- Sunday, 8th April
