Holy Cross Closed From The 3rd January Next Year
We are pleased to confirm that the Holy Cross Church will be closed from the 3rd January 2018 for approximately three months! This is to allow the final stage of the CHIRP renovation work to be carried out. During the period, Church services will continue at the usual times, but will be held in the Church hall. We hope to be able to return to Holy Cross for Easter Day 2018, but this is, of course, subject to the work being completed on programme (there is some ‘float’ available so we remain confident!)
While the work is being carried out, access to the Church will be controlled by the contractor and the Churchwardens and there will be no public at any time. We have to respect the contractor’s responsibility to provide and maintain a safe place of work for his employees so we ask for your co-operation, and please spread the word. It is also a legal requirement, so ‘zero tolerance’ on this!
Thank you for your understanding. We will provide regular updates on progress through the Bell. If you have any queries on the temporary arrangements or any other matters relating to this work. Please do not hesitate to contact us or speak to Father Roger.
