It’s this time of year when we really start to appreciate the night sky again. Why not join us for a night walk at Avebury and learn about the night sky? Children can also join in with a fun craft activity (suitable for children 7+ years).

Apple Celebrations

It’s apple season at Avebury with plenty of apple themed activities for all the family, including apple pressing and tasting using fruit from Avebury Manor’s own orchard and some fun crafts for children.

Trust 10

The Trust10 is a 10k trail run across the wider Avebury landscape. It’s a challenging run that takes in stunning views across this iconic and intriguing landscape. The run begins at 9 am, registration from 8.30am at the Coach House on Avebury High Street.

Autumn foraging walk

Discover some of nature’s wild food secrets on this half day foraging walk. Fred Gillam will teach you to identify plants growing in the hedgerows, fields and woods in the Avebury Landscape.

Avebury landscape walks

Both of these walks explore some of the most important Neolithic sites in Britain, and our knowledgeable volunteer guides will help unlock past of this intriguing landscape as you walk. Booking essential.

Free Stone Circle tours – Avebury

Our volunteer guides are experts in transporting you back to the Neolithic, as they explain the history of the stone circles and about the people who built Avebury. Sign up at visitor reception when you arrive. Free of charge as part of Heritage Open Days.

Sculpture exhibition in Avebury Manor Garden

Once again Avebury Manor Garden becomes an art gallery, with a variety of different artists displaying their work in the different garden rooms, much of the art will be on sale. On most Thursdays, art lovers will be able to chat to one of the artists.
