Everyone’s favourite cheese-loving duo will be arriving at Swindon’s STEAM Museum later this year in a live performance of Wallace & Gromit: The Wrong Trousers.

Following the success of The Snowman in Concert over Christmas last year, the team at STEAM have brought the Aldbourne Band back but, this time, to perform the soundtrack to the inventing duo’s 1993 outing which saw the debut of fan favourite villain Feathers McGraw.

Taking place at the Swindon Borough Council-owned museum on Saturday, 31 May, the band will perform the music as attendees settle in to watch the Oscar-winning short film on the big screen, set among the museum’s incredible exhibitions.

Sally Langheim, Events and Conferencing Officer at STEAM, said: “We cannot wait to welcome Wallace & Gromit to the museum. This classic British film is fun for all the family and we are looking forward to experiencing it alongside the heritage of the collections and the amazing skill and beauty of the Aldbourne Band’s live performance.”

Councillor Marina Strinkovsky, Swindon Borough Council’s Cabinet Member for Placemaking and Planning, said: “Wallace & Gromit are British icons and what better place to watch their films than at the iconic STEAM Museum, and the Aldbourne Band are sure to provide the best soundtrack to really immerse visitors into the movie.

“While the museum is the number one place to learn more about Swindon’s railway history, I’m really pleased to see that we’re using the space to offer more to visitors.

“We have lots of of returning events this year including Comic Con and the Great Western Brick Show, so there’ll be plenty of reason to pop in throughout the year.”

Tickets to the two performances of Wallace & Gromit: The Wrong Trousers Live can be purchased on the STEAM Museum’s website. The event is set to be a popular one so act fast before tickets sell out.
