Should you feel you have grounds to complain about the Parish Council, we have a set procedure for dealing with the issue.
We consider complaints to be informal unless a written complaint plainly states ‘Formal Complaint’.
Many problems can be resolved before any complaint is necessary, simply by getting in touch and talking the issue through. However, if this doesn’t resolve the problem, then in most cases an informal complaint is the next step. This gives the Parish Council an opportunity to deal with the issue at a local level.
If after receiving the response to the informal complaint, the complainant remains unhappy, he/she can escalate to the second stage – a Formal Complaint.
The details of the complaints procedure, including the scope of complaints and timescales for dealing with complaints are set out in the complaints protocol document.
