Tenders are now being accepted for work to improve and expand the Rec ground car park off Norris Close.

Some requirements:

  • Tenders MUST be received in full by 30th September
  • Work MUST be able to start between 29th October and 5th November latest
  • Contractors must be able to meet at the Rec Hall car park to have a full briefing of work required before the tender is submitted

Brief details of work are:

  • Clear perimeter of car park of vegetation to expose edge of existing car park and deposit in spoil heap 50 metres away
  • Scarify Surface of Existing Carpark & Lay Type 1 Stone as detailed below
  • Scarify surface of existing car park
  • Supply and lay MOT type 1 stone to a depth of 25mm
  • Works to Area between edge of Carpark and Barrier as detailed below
  • Excavate to reduce levels to a depth of 200mm
  • Cart to Onsite Spoil Heap approx 50m away
  • Supply & lay Terram 1000
  • Supply, lay and compact MOT Type 1 to a depth of 200mm
  • Carpark Extension as detailed below
  • Excavate to reduce levels to a depth of average 250mm
  • Cart to Onsite Spoil Heap approx 50m away
  • Supply & lay Terram 1000
  • Supply, lay and compact MOT Type 1 to a depth of 200mm
  • Land Drain as detailed below
  • Excavate Trench
  • Cart to Onsite Spoil Heap approx 50m away
  • Supply and lay 150mm Dia Perforated Land Drain Coiled Pipe
