We’ve received the following update from the Washpool Area Restoration Project (please note that the WARP are an independent organisation and not part of Chiseldon Parish Council):
We’re pleased to report that the Washpool Area Restoration Project recently received some welcome publicity, with two articles about our work appearing in the Swindon Advertiser (both pieces are still available online if you missed them). We’re hopeful that this publicity will lead to some more corporate teams coming forward to work on the site, and perhaps some more applications for the Friends Scheme too! However, WARP remains a village-led project at heart, and what we really need are one or two people to help us oversee the project moving forward.
At present the Management Group meets for an hour once a month, so it’s not an onerous commitment. You don’t need any special skills to get involved, just a willingness to muck in and help us spread the word about Washpool and the valuable wildlife that can be found there.
