Swindon Shopmobility, based in the town centre, provides a selection of manually propelled and battery-powered wheelchairs and mobility scooters. These can be hired by anyone with limited mobility for as little as £2 a day for use in the town centre area. Free parking is also provided.
Available equipment for hire includes:
- Mobility scooters
- Power chairs
- Manual Wheelchairs
Open to all ages but anyone under the age of 16 will need to be accompanied by a responsible adult or carer. You do not have to be a member to access the service as temporary memberships are available, long term manual wheelchair hire is available without membership. Full training can be provided.

Monday to Friday – 9am to 4pm
Saturday – 9am to 3pm
We are now able to offer servicing and repairs of private scooters and power chairs. Annual services of mobility scooters costs just £50, members can use a Shopmobility scooter whilst theirs is being serviced and non members at a reduced charge, Collection of equipment can be arranged at an additional cost.
